Funny. I actually picked Cornell over U. Penn and U. Chicago. Wouldn't change a thing and I hope my kids go to the #1 safety school.

Suffice it to say that the people who concoct this bullshit are likely neither scientists nor engineers. Nor are they likely hotel managers, architects, nor animal husbandrists. Nor are they a great many things.
Obligatory hockey content: Whenever I hear the students start (inappropriately, or, perhaps, ironically—but that's giving out easy credit) chanting "Safety School" at, say, Yale, I turn to my oft companion at games, RichH, and say, "Safety school? I never would have even considered going there." Now, RPI? That's a safety school, and one held in common by a bunch of New York Staters in the science and engineering fields.
