Cornell on Academic/Sexy college chart

[www.buzzfeed.com] purports to show colleges on a matrix of Academic and Sexy. Cornell is near the top (More Academic) and straddling the middle on Sexy/Less Sexy. Brown and Dartmout appear to be the champs: the two blips in the upper right corner. Stanford is in upper left corner: most academic, less sexy.

Boy, there is something very wrong with their data. The sexiness scale ought to be almost exactly inverted from that shown. It's as if Urban Bâby was the target demographic.

MIT should be off the top of the chart beyond the left hand corner. It's the most academics-obsessed place I've ever been.

Every public university in the south should be in the lower right quadrant.

Every private university in the north should be in the upper left quadrant.

The upper right quadrant should be completely empty.

You could actually get a decent approximation by just taking a map of the US, flipping it about the vertical access, rotating it 45 degrees, foreshortening it so that the center point was somewhere around Happy Valley.
