At the age of 75, cause of death undisclosed, but had been treated for multiple myeloma for a few years.

Scheider is of course famous for playing police chief Martin Brody ("You're gonna need a bigger boat"
in Jaws (and Jaws II), but also received oscar nominations for "The French Connection" and "All That Jazz". I always had a soft spot for him because he kind of looked like my father, which was probably why I watched Seaquest DSV and enjoyed "2010".

You enjoyed 2010? I hope it was indeed the fog-of-Roy, 'cause that's one, IMHO, that could give Harvard a run in the sucking category.
