This match-up has rarely occurred before, since they were in different conferences. The Devils are at Pittsburgh tonight.

FSN talking about Joe right now. Love his "subtle" speed, his face-off win%, his leadership and think he's going to be good for the organization. well....DUH! yark

Joe's more than six feet tall, weighs more than 200 pounds, and played for Cornell. Ergo...he must be slow.rolleyes

I guess we all now know why they couldn't survive in Hartford.:-)

They couldn't survive in Hartford because Peter Kar-moron never intended to keep them there. He bought the team in a shady deal. He played the city and the state to get them to make up his losses until he could split town. He ran season ticket drives with ever increasing goals so suck as much money out of the residents and have an excuse to take off. Everytime the state came close to matching his demands for a new stadium he raised the bar...

and then took of for the "greener" pastures of NASCAR/ACC bball land and 4000 fans/game... The next year Hartford's AHL team actually drew an average of about 100 less people per game than the NHL's Whore-i-canes...

Sorry, it's been too long since I've ranted about the situation and that heartleass bastard...

And let's not forget the role our "esteemed" alumnus Gary Buttman had in all of it in facilitating the move.

Yup... ever wonder where the Rangers put all that talent that they later traded for washed-up, injury prone, chemistry-lacking, defensively-absent superstars (see other thread)...
