From USCHO.com: About the attendance at the centrum yesterday

The regionalization of this year’s tournament probably contributed to the record, as four of the five teams were from New England and the other, Cornell, would probably have a large cadre of supporters if the game was held in Vladivostok.

We ran into him in Placid, BTW, and he's actually a nice guy. Harvard needs more fans who are passionate about their team (not the "DO ME DOV" girls, who seem to be passionate with a particular member of the team), but understand that coming over and trying to fight the entire Cornell section is not the way to show it.

Kudos to Harvard for making a good showing against a Hockey Least representative, and here's hoping Cornell knocks off one of the turncoats this afternoon.

Well...even if he's a nice guy, I'm still not going to change my posting name. :-D

LOL! I usually don't like long usernames either, but on this board I thought I'd make an exception due to, um, 'personal experiences'. By doing so, I'm pissing people off :`( Hey, if enough people are honestly P.O.'ed with my username, I'll change it to something shorter.

I met Volonnino at Lake Placid a few times -- he's a decent guy. He likes talking trash (don't we all?), and he knows the game. There ought to be one guy like him representing every ECAC team... and 500 representing Cornell.

Well, there are the many of us here on eLynah...too bad most of us can't have our opinions published in actual print media the way Volonnino did. :-P

The audience of the print media Volonnino works for probably overlaps the audience of the various hockey fora by about 99%.

Wide exposure is not among the many merits of college hockey writing.
