Okay so this is REALLY early, but I have a chance at a free hotel if I act now. Does anyone know what date is Lake Placid next year? Is that even decided yet?

The ECAC Championship next year will be the weekend of March 22 & 23. I don't know the specific dates and times of the hockey games.

Yup, it'll be the weekend at the *end* of spring break (if you're a student) next year, because of the ECACs new 3 week playoff format.

What bothers me more is that the home series of the 1 through 4 seeds will be the first weekend of break, meaning attendence will likely plummet, and my break will effectively be cut from 9 to 5 days (family time, that is worry) (if Cornell is a 1 through 4 seed, of course, which we all are probably assuming they will be <knock on wood>;). Did they think the home ice advantage was too much for the 1 through 4 seeds with a full crowd? nut

Fred, just curious, what letter chest-paint were you at LP?

Thanks! Now lets see if I can get that hotel... (I'm trying to transfer my timeshare over there - but because of the skiing lodge requests it has to be done with A LOT of time to spare)

REDhead-

How'd you know? Did I mention it somewhere else on the board (my memory is fuzzy)? Anyways, I was the 'R' - and I'd do it again, but I don't think I could fit the whole things on my chest for Woostah :)

If attendance plummets because the students choose spring break over hockey, this is one alum who doesn't get much opportunity to see the red at Lynah and will be very happy to take the spare ticket off their hands :-D

WHOO HOO! a VERY happy birthday to me next year!

again, this is whether or not the team will make it there or not though I would prefer to be spending the birthday with me in the stands, team on the ice, sometime after 7:30, and hopefully ending the night at mudpuddles. that would be...wow! words can not describe the feeling. :-)

This past Sunday was the 21st birthday or one of the people in Placid with us. Woulda been awesome for him to turn 21 *at* Muddpuddles, and go back to the door for a new band. Oh well, wasn't to be - we sang him happy birthday on the very sad, cold walk back to the car.

As for me, I'm turning 21 on Saturday - and will be buying a beer in Woostah just bc I can :-D .

I'm coming with the cake (if they let me in with it)

I've never met anyone with the same bday as me. Yay! Happy early bday and hope that the weekend ends on a good note.

So, just look for the person with the cake, huh? Shouldn't be too difficult :). I've met a bunch of people with similar birthdays, 20th, 24th, 25th, but you're right, probably not the 23rd. Happy birthday to you too, and see ya Saturday!

Somehow I think birthday cake will be more popular in the stands than smoked salmon (especially smoked salmon on a Thin Mint). :-P

So are we wishing you a happy birthday today or tomorrow?

judy has already left (as of roughly 5 am this morning - i think) for the boston area and won't be near a computer for days - oh wait - maybe not. anyway - if she doesn't see this i'll be sure to pass along b-day wishes JTW. For all those we haven't met, we'll be in the stands tomorrow with a cake to celebrate (am not sure of the section yet but am guessing that its up near the back). come and find us. i just wish the damn ivy champs t-shirt i ordered her would come in so that i could give it to her with the rest of her gift (which is more or less a gag). oh. and we'll probably be going out for a b-day drink after the game, etc ( yes, a drink - but ONLY one....or maybe 2...but NO MORE than 2!) if anyone would like to join us. by the way, does anyone know a good bar/club in worcester?

I've arrived safely and had the most boringest drive ever through the state of CT. Of course, I made it through by noon.

The Worcester Centrum people said that outside food is generally not allowed in but it's at the descretion of the security people so I'm gonna pack a few pieces in a plastic container and if they object, I'll just beg and plead.

Melissa, the state of MA is still in the firm grips of the old Puritanical ways. Boston is known for closing down early. Also, I don't want to be wandering around Worcester at night. It's better than south Boston but still...

All I want tomorrow is for us to beat QU. That would make it a happy day.
