Cornell's 6 game winning streak is their longest in 12 seasons. They won 7 straight during the 89-90 season.

When was the last time we were 5 points ahead of the next team and in first place?

And TWO of those teams we are 5 points ahead of have played 1 more game than us!
Let's just enjoy it (and hopefully enlarge the gap.)

I wasa going to say, possibly never. Although Cornell had those amazing runs in the late 60's and in '70, the ECAC also produced some other incredible teams.

However, in 1970 Cornell finished with 42 RS points (21-0), Clarkson was in second by winning percentage with 28 (14-3), BU had the second most points with 34 (17-5). So, depending on how you measure it, that was at least an 8 point lead. They also finished '68 with a 16 point lead on the second place team (Clarkson), and a 9 point lead on the next highest point leader (BC).

Amazing note: Cornell was 18-1-1 in 1967 and finished *behind* BU, who was 19-0-1.
