Anybody think he has a shot?
Chris Higgins (a.k.a. "the one who got away," at Yale) is having a tremendous freshman season, but 7-2-0, 1.45, .937 is hard to ignore. With four probable RS stars to go, David might break 10 wins, thus making him "legitimate" in the eyes of the voters.

i think if lenny played more than matty...he would merit more serious consideration, but i think its tough to judge how well he would really be if he's only playing approximately once every weekend, and not getting tired like some other goaltenders who have to play 2 nights in a row. but he's still prob under consideration, though i think barring any serious change, higgins has it.

Greg,
I've repeatedly been told that only ECAC games are supposed to count for the league awards and the All-Star teams. There Leneveu's stats are 5-1-0, 1.51, .926.

But by the same token, Higgins is 10-9-19 in 14 league games, tied for third in scoring (just 2 points out of first), 2nd in goal scoring (just 1 out of first), and so far ahead of the next freshman I can't even find him.
Then again, LeNeveu's team is currently in first place, and that does tend to mean a little to the voters. We'll see.
The only other frosh I see getting any support would be Grumet-Morris and McKenna, neither of whom can beat out LeNeveu.

They'll go "head-to-head" Saturday night.
