1) Game started late on Roku. While waiting, watched the Harvard Beanpot sights and sounds video. Pretty good pregame stuff and then terrible quality game action video (poor color correction, feed from NESN is off TV with screen crawler). A separate video of game highlights vs. Northeastern ends once Harvard is up 4-1, doesn't show the last 2 NE goals.
2) Color commentator for Harvard-Union broadcast sounds like Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer last week.
3) Five minutes into the game, there are not 1,000 people in the stands for a showdown of the 4 and 6 teams in the country.

Union is getting lit up and all the other games are tied.

Merrimack won 6-3 at BC, a good result for us

Princeton beat St. Lawrence 3-1. An excellent result for us!

Clarkson tops Q 4-2.

Well, many years later Blair Hornstine is now a practicing lawyer in the Philly area, at the law firm she co-founded with her father (a retired NJ judge). No mention of her past lawsuit, as expected.

Over at Laxpower on the Harvard 2018 thread they're discussing the administration's current attempts to limit or actually eliminate Final Clubs as a way to reduce drinking, sexual misconduct, and elitism. There's mention of a dispute over the data used to justify such policies, with those who allegedly interpreted the data more rigorously advocating instead that Harvard focus "more on education than in banning clubs."

Boy, talk about naiveté! If Harvard started focusing more on education, it might have to make the most common grade something less than A.

So it's 9:08 AM, nothing up online and they don't answer the phone. I guess 10:00 AM is the time.

Singles are left, but they have opened up SRO and most of those are available. StubHub now has 39 seats from $50 to $110. But to be fair, some of those were posted before today's single ticket sale. So I guess some Harvard season ticket holders were selling.

And StubHub has tickets for Harvard at Lynah from $100 to $166, these are from townies season ticket sales.

As of now, there are still a few scattered tickets left.

Funny, here in Kathmandu one occasionally sees people wearing Harvard clothing. In my mind I put them into three categories: tourists who may very well have some connection to Harvard, Nepalis who either have or aspire to have some connection, and Nepalis who wear the clothes with a sense of irony. I'm often tempted to say "sucks" when I pass them on the street, but I don't know how to say "sucks" in Nepali.

You know how they make those championship T Shirts that they hand right to the teams on the field? And how the NCAA has those shirts printed in advance for each team in the Final Four (TM)? I understand those shirts they printed for the teams that DIDN'T ultimately win go to places like Africa, Korea and Nepal as humanitarian gestures. Yep. That's probably what you all are seeing.

Searching Stubhub for ticket availability in case a classmate married to a Clarkson guy want to go to Saturday's ECAC QF game versus Clarkson. No tickets available, maybe b/c AudienceView, Cornell's third-party ticket provider got hacked and Cornell suspended sales after some students buying tix online wound up with multi-thousand-dollar credit card charges. Meanwhile, Stubhub offered hockey alternatives. Notice their rendition of the 3,095-seat Bright-Landry Center. (Ignoring for a moment Quinnipiac's uniform color):

I'm more intrigued with StubHub offering Dartmouth hockey tickets as an alternative. I bet those are cheap.

Harvard certainly "Sucked Up" an excellent bunch of freshman hockey talent for their Men's Varsity Hockey Team this year!

Seems better than the first time they did this. I recall them forcing fans to have to buy a "4-pack" of tickets to include the Cornell game.
