We wuz there, section M, opposite from the Cornell bench (townies, faculty, grizzled alums). But many students were not at Lynah. This is the last weekend before classes resume. About 500 short of a full house, 3794 announced vs. 4267 capacity. It looked right barren as the game began (photo). But the energy was there, nervous energy until we got up 3-0.

Are you going to be there again tonight, Bill, in those seats? If so, come say hello if you feel like it. We're just on the other side of the red line in M, and approximately the same row you appeared to be in. (We're in Row 11.) I'll be the big guy in the game-worn away Scrivens jersey.

We are flying. Come on, crowd, put some balls into it. They need you to keep this up!

Nice shot, bill. And not for nothing, Section B looks impressively packed, considering this was still a "break game." I guess I wasn't paying too close attention to the stands while watching, but I thought the rink looked full (noting that Section E is typically a blind spot for the cameras).

Now that our seats have moved from C t M it is wonderful to see the unbroken student sections from A all the way around.

They just need to rip the seats out of C and put the benches back in.

The red seats are gone. (I think they were just attached on top of the benches.)

These are the first quotes I've seen from Pecknold following last weekend's Q losses. In the New Haven Register, he said:
“First of all, Cornell and Colgate both played very well,” Pecknold said, and he said the feel in the rinks was a “Super Bowl" atmosphere.

“I just felt we weren’t prepared for that kind of playoff atmosphere. That’s on me; I thought we were, but we weren’t,” Pecknold said. “It’s not what we wanted, but it’s a teachable moment.”

Lynah was solid but far from electric given the attendance is down from the good ol days.

If you win it, they will come.
