I was wondering when the last Cornell outdoor game was- and if there would be interest in a Schoellkopf Field game?

Anyone want to lay odds our last outdoor game was on Beebe Lake?

Kinda over outdoor hockey.

But I'll admit I'm just bitter cause I'm a Pens fan and they keep running Dumoulin out there for 20 minutes a game when he should be a healthy scratch.

Honestly a game in Schoellkopf might be the perfect spectacle to reignite the fire in the student body for cornell hockey

With the right opponent in front 20,000 fans, I'd hope so!

If we can't draw 20,000 fans at MSG, we're not going to draw 20,000 fans at Schoellkopf.

20,000 fans at Schoellkopf, priceless.
$200,000 + or - $150,000 for a temporary refrigeration system, not so much.

Saw a fascinating webinar last nightabout the history and ecology of Beebe Lake — Where Have All the Flowers Gone? — and Why Beebe Lake: Past, Present, and Future with historian Corey Ryan Earle ‘07 and Botanic Gardens Director of Natural Areas Todd Bittner. Of course, it showed early outdoor hockey and a horse drawn “Zamboni.” It was live last night, but should be streamed presently. Well worth watching.

Here’s the Beebe Lake video
