Classmate Jerry Kostandoff ‘64, a standout forward from the pre-Harkness era, joins the list of Cornell hockey greats that passed away too soon - Doug and David Ferguson, Mike Doran, Harry Orr, Brian Cornell, Dan Lodboa, Johnny Hughes . . .

R.I.P., Jerry.
Always wish we had a second photo, of a departed Cornell athlete in uniform, in action, because that's the way to remember them. Old jocks look just about as age-worn as the rest of us on the high side of 50, 70 or 80. Although Marinaro's still looking pretty good.

Bobby Ferguson . . .
For those too young to remember, Bobby was the younger brother of twins Doug and Dave. Bobby was a good hockey player, but not the equal of his older brothers. Hailing from Saskatchewan, the three were interested in playing for then powerhouse Denver, but coach Murray Armstrong thought the 5-8 twins were too small, so he recommended them to his friend Ned Harkness. According to legend, their father told Ned, if you want the twins, Bobby must be part of the deal. The rest is history! When they were seniors in 1967, Cornell was 27-1-1 and National Champions.
