I don't know if I could explain it but I love how Sullivan Mack plays.

Scoreless, five minutes in.

So, for the first time all season, there is the possibility of three games in three days. Assuming same rules apply to men and women, why do they play overtime in games 1 and 2?
Wouldn't it make sense to be able to win the series by going 1-0-1? I know that this means a team would be pulling its goalie in a tied game 2 if they lost game 1, but isn't that preferable to making them play what could theoretically be three very long games in three days?

we play weird ot rules all season to stress the players less and the when the have a chance at 3 games no one cares anymore. almost like the NFL who has no idea how to do OT.. MLB fixed theirs this year at least

Are there any rules about whether you can just add a coach in the middle of the game?

I think we’re playing a much better 2nd period, but Colgate scored on their only real chance and Benson has been very good.

Cormell 20 shots in the second and I swear 10 of them were A+ chances.

Nice play by Haiskanen to keep the puck inside the blue line and find Stienburg for the winning goal. Andreev was a force every time he was on the ice. Really strong performance tonight from the top of the lineup down to the bottom.

The happiest part of tonight for me though was seeing the student section rocking. Uniting the students by giving them Section C was the right decision. I just hope the townie side fills up next year. I wonder if most of the empty seats formerly belonged to antivaxxers.

I’d be surprised if there’s a big antivaxxer contingent in Ithaca. More likely it’s that the townies are taking a more cautious approach to attending large events.

Ithaca, no. The surrounding towns, though…there’s a reason Tom Reed keeps getting re-elected.

Yup. Ithaca is Austin, Texas.

Was this a "win one for the Gipp[Schaf]er" situation? Huge turnaround after the first intermission.

The reason Tom Reed keeps getting reelected has nothing to do with Ithaca, nor the suburbs thereof. He gets reelected because his district covers all of rural southwestern NY. It starts just outside Binghamton and goes all across the PA border past Jamestown. The classic dump a Democratic city into a huge Republican rural area, thus negating their votes.

Now that the district configuration is changed, so that Ithaca is combined with Syracuse, see who wins.

A favorite gerrymander was how they tunneled the 22nd district (Maurice Hinchey era) from the Hudson Valley to include Ithaca.

Yeah, it was weird when I moved from Kingston to Ithaca and realized I was in the same congressional district I grew up in. Made me worry less about where I was supposed to register to vote. Hinchey was actually my Assemblyman growing up, when Matt McHugh was in congress.
