I haven't paid much attention to college hockey till recently, but I haven't seen discussion about ECAC Coaches Thrilled With Lake Placid Switch to NHL-Sized Ice Surface.
Personally I'm thrilled that they did it. Be nice to see how it changes and do they put in seats closer to the smaller ice surface?

Wow. Somewhat surprised that’s not a National Protected Site, not to be messed with.

See reader comment on the CHN story. Who's this doofus referring to?

We Harvard fans will mourn the loss of extra wide open space to skate around typically bigger, slower teams. Lake Placid has been a godsend. The Crimson will just have to try its luck with 11 NHL draft picks on the ice, the most ever for the team. Harvard might be the youngest team in the nation, but with any luck, they will have adjusted to puberty in time for the playoffs. Slow start, fast finish. Should be very dangerous by March. Hopefully, we'll get to see if they can also adjust to the new dimensions.
