interesting they have block off all home sales until this pick 5 deal is done.

I would think we would have had 500+ up for sale i wonder how many will get sold as part of this deal since its basically trying to sell you the Harvard game for $100

I might have gone about it differently maybe sell the Harvard tickets which probably would sell out if promoted, then offered a discount of somekind to push the clarkson + some other games just to try and get more in the seats across all the games.

there have been pretty empty seating for games so far this year. too bad the students dont seem to care anymore

Actually I think there has been better attendance this year.

Here are the figures for the first 4 regular season games. Sure they aren't directly comparable, as they have different teams, but not too bad this year. (Hopefully I can still add correctly)

2019 2018 2017
Team Fans Team Fans Team Fans
Brwn 3451 MSU 3840 AH 3277
Yale 4117 MSU 3855 AH 3784
Q 3876 Yale 3556 Dart 3476
PU 4267 Brwn 4008 Hvd 4267
Total 15,711 15,259 14,804

but we are using some strange numbers being at the games and entire rows being empty.

maybe sales are good but attendance is bad?

i know i looked earlier in the year at the vast number of tickets you could buy

SAT night games are 500 higher than friday is interesting.

princeton was a sellout? there were 50-100 tickets no one sat in in section O? same for H/G/F

if you use the pick 5 to get seats there are well over 500 sets free to choose from for every game. and that includes the Harvard game which can only be bought now using this promotion.

we must be getting some walk up crowd i hope

The issue i have is i know some people who want to go to some games other than Harvard and you cant buy any right now.

great to have the promotion but dont block all the ticket sales

FWIW, I thought the student sections have been fuller and louder this year. Haven't noticed much of a difference on the townie side.

Maybe because most of the empty seats were in the student sections. Townie sections have been relatively filled right along. However Sections A, D, E & F were poorly filled till this year. CU would often give tickets to area hockey teams. This year there are a lot more students filling those seats. If we could only get the students in all sections, including B, to be in their seats by face-off time.

The AD should design an enticement for 6:30. I don't know what The Kids are into these days. Heavy drugs and full frontal? Those are timeless.

For at least a couple of games this season there were email announcements ahead of time offering a free slice of pizza for students who arrived by 6:30 PM. (And yes, that did remind me of Colgate and the way they bribed their students to show up years ago.)

still think its crazy that just over a week out and Cornell still has not released any single game tickets in hopes of selling the package they have not promoted in the least

Speaking of free pizza, if any or you are going to Troy and don't have tickets yet: .

still making it hard for people to see the team and schedule out since they not opened up tickets for any of the last set of home games.. maybe they sold a ton of tickets with the promotion but i dont think so.

I spoke a little with someone from the ticket office at the Princeton game. He said there is one person in the office who thinks that by not selling the tickets far in advance, it creates the impression that seats are still highly in demand. She apparently thinks that impression is more important than actually selling tickets. He's tried to convince her otherwise for exactly the reasons you mention, but said those concerns are falling on deaf ears.

the difference between seats and some seats can create the same impression.. instead people give up.
