Anybody in the know about who we get back / lose tonight?

Previously it was reported Andreev was going to be out "long term" (doh!). The other guys in question: Malott, Green and Mullin.

BTW, the game will be streamed on ESPN+.

No real new information from "The Sun" yesterday:

"Injury report:
Freshman forward Max Andreev is sidelined long-term with an upper-body injury he sustained against Harvard. Junior forward Jeff Malott, sophomore forward Tristan Mullin and sophomore defenseman Alex Green continue to be week-to-week."

Malott and Mullin are skating the warmup. Cornell inexplicably in home whites.

This could be our time-honored tradition of bringing the wrong laundry.

And a female on-ice official. Have we seen that before in a men's game?

Never mind - the broadcasters came on after the anthem. Low gain, but turned it up and it's fine.

The ESPN+ play-by-play guy is actually pretty good. I like how he's able to inject little tidbits of info into the call without missing a step.

Completely agree. There were some stretches during the game including that where Cornell’s puck control was outstanding. Some very good passing at times, most obviously the tic-tac-toe puck movement for the third goal.

Overall, though, the game was pretty ugly. Cornell was visibly stronger and more skilled, but they really struggled on their break-outs and passing other than on the final goal.

There was a lot of great stuff and what was bad to be honest looked like weirdly janky ice. They were skating on a smooth surface but the puck looked like it was on cobblestone a lot of the time. Also too many guys are still trying to skate through traffic. That said...

the sequence that led to the third goal was fantastic.

it is the bad give aways that lead to scramble goals that is costing us the most. we are solid when set. we dont let teams get great shots that often when they cycle and we dont allow a ton of odd man chances or plays thru center ice..

but those times we try to carry between players or throw blind passes a few times a game lead to bad goals. still had we just buried a couple of the 4-5 open net shots last night we probably have a 3 goal lead and never have to squirm.

large stretches of really controlling play is great to see

Two observations. First it's interesting that Vanderlaan never raised his hands, or showed any response, after his goal. It was almost like he said "I scored on that play?".

Second, if you want to see a "goal scorers goal", look at Colgate's first goal by Bobby McMann. It starts around 0:53. He has to regain possession 2 or 3 times as he skates through 4 Cornell players.

McMahon is one of the better players I've seen this year.

At 1:30---"Benson, a sprawling arm save!"

Benson's arm sounded an awful lot like the near post!
