From the CU game notes:

• Cornell has been dominant against the Tigers, holding a 92-52-8 lead all-time with wins in seven of the teams' last eight meetings.

• The one Princeton victory over that stretch was also the most recent meeting, with the Tigers securing a 4-1 victory over the top-seeded Big Red in the ECAC Hockey Championship semifinals on March 16 in Lake Placid.

• Cornell swept the regular-season series last year, including a 7-1 rout in the teams' last meeting at Lynah Rink on Jan. 5. Brenden Locke had three assists, and Mitch Vanderlaan and Jeff Malott each scored in the third period on goals assisted by Brendan Smith.

• In last season's first meeting, the Big Red rallied for a 5-4 victory on Nov. 4 at Hobey Baker Rink. Cornell trailed 4-2 before second-period goals by Yanni Kaldis and Trevor Yates knotted the score, setting the stage for Brenden Locke's unassisted game-winner and first collegiate goal with 6:41 to play.

One assumes much of it went to New York to march for the associated fiasco.

Back in my day, we used to organize at least a "Davy Band" to handle things, since you can usually scare up enough non-marchers and alums to make some noise. Actually, we almost always put together a perfectly competent band. There was also a bus that would leave away marching gigs as soon as possible to jet back for hockey. But kids these days…

Sic transit gloria mundi.

The Pep Band is not the same organization, but there is a big overlap with the BRB, which should be in NY for the football game and the Sy Katz Parade.

Cornell played GREAT tonight. To come into the game missing four players, including half of your top-four D, and for Princeton to be the team totally worn down by the end of the third? Also, Donaldson looked like Ryan Vesce out there.

this team at a times has dominated, tonight they got goals for it. get healthy and they have a chance to be really solid if they dont gift away goals.

Mullin-Betts-Bauld neutralized the verroneau line, and at the end our guys still seemed to have more stamina than theirs.

Flip the Quinnipiac result and we're #11 in PWR, instead of #24.

I thought our effort and quality of play overall this weekend was excellent, especially considering how depleted we are. Will be interesting to see if any of the walking wounded are back at MSG on Saturday.

Let's hope the rash of injuries is a blessing in disguise. If some of the guys who stepped up can continue to play at such a high level, then when we get back to full strength we will have exceptional depth! banana

I wouldnt expect any of those guys back next week. but even getting 1 back would be big. it also didnt help we played 1 guy short fri after the GDQ.

win 2 of 3 and reset..

dart is interesting, got pounded by Princ 7-1 and turned around and beat Quin 5-1, lost to brown 4-2 but beat yale 3-0 and they beat harvard.

only 2 teams left in the league with 1 loss is pretty crazy

if quin/princ really are the 2 best as the standings suggest we are in good shape going forward

But Starrett had a game misconduct - not a DQ - and had the GWG on Saturday.

Take it with a grain of salt but in the Friday pregame Mike said he expected guys to start coming back for the MSG game, with "2 or maybe 3" back and healthy.

Tigers don't have to climb Libe Slope.
