Can I come up for air yet? That finish was about as wild as it gets. Did Brown ever hit iron in that sequence?

Should be pretty clear from the last few games that any "predictor" that has us winning 95 or whatever % of games vs. RPI/St. Lawrence/Brown is not to be trusted.

I don't think so, but Matt sure seemed to leave a big ol' space a few times.

As long as they keep winning and the overall health of the team improves...

Isn’t that the textbook definition of a cupcake schedule? Come tournament time we won’t get a second chance. Other teams are accustomed to bringing 100% every night.

Harvard and Clarkson, and maybe add Colgate?

Oh hell, maybe everybody in the ECAC?

Im not sure i would say other teams bring 100% every night. we might not play our A game every time, but still other than the Clarkson game every other game was right there to be won

ND lost to sacred heart the worst team in the Atlantic

St cloud tied Princ back to back

Minn St lost to bowling green and alaska and tied Ala Huntsville

That was supposed to be my point. Harvard has not been "bringing 100%" all season and with their second half tanking, you certainly can't say either Clarkson or Colgate has been consistent.

No, aside from the NCHC teams, which beat up on each other, but generally beat other leagues, the rest of us have teams that could beat, and lose to, anyone.

I don't know why we win those games, even when we don't play well. But I'm willing to enjoy it as long as possible, while realizing we could be kicked out at any time.

True, but SOG:

ECAC Semi Hvd 57-36
ECAC Final Clk 54-23
NCAA Semi Wisc 40-17
NCAA Final Clk 52-23

You always had the feeling that the team was going to come thru. Not true with this team.

But as I've said multiple times, I'll enjoy it as far as it'll go.

Final three against terrific goalies: Clarkson's Bullock a first-team All-American; Wisco's Thomas went on to be Dryden's back-up in Montreal. Tough, tough games. Came from behind in all three. Bullock had 24 saves (with no goals) in the third period of the ECAC final before Hughes potted the game-winner at 19:46

I don't remember what paper this came from, but it's a "good" representation of the game.

I never understood why, on those great teams that dominated and kept the puck in the offensive zone perhaps more than 40 out of 60 minutes per game, why Brian Cropper (and other Cornell goalies, when they played) did not continue the tradition Ken Dryden had started. Looking at him, you'd hardly believe there's a hockey game going on.

Maybe because they weren't sure that they could refocus as quickly as he could?

Or because the goalie stick was taller than Cropper?**]

Dryden's pose emulated the great Canadiens goalie George Vezina's pose of bygone years. [Search youtube for "dryden legend of hockey" if you haven't watched it.]
