We are currently higher in offense in the ECAC (#2) than defense (#3).

When was the last time that happened? Probably not for many years.

For a full season, 1999, the only Schafer season in which our defense finished lower than 5th in the conference.

And nationally, top 5 in both.

4th (behind Penn State, St. Cloud, Minnesota State) in goals per game at 3.857; and 2nd in goals against per game at 1.786 (behind Clarkson).

Anybody got any video or audio on ESPN3 yet? I can't remember from year to year whether or not they include pregame stuff.

In this case there is no "pregame stuff." They aren't doing a radio cast at all tonight.

I was hoping we'd have some replays tonight given the espn co-broadcast, but alas. What happened on the no goal at the end of the first?

When it happened I thought it was a crossbar but I am surprised they didn't review it.

The Athletics article said Galajda was a game time decision because Stewart wasn't able to start. Anybody know what's up?

Huh. That is not what Schafer said.

The Sun article says Stewart was hurt and Galajda didn't find out he was starting until 4:45.

And the highlights are up.
So when Vanderlaan gets tripped into the goalie by one of their own, it's still interference? Google points me to CHN, which explains that it's evidently a matter of discretion.

It doesn't look like an intentional trip and Vanderlaan wipes the guy out. I'm OK with the call since it's really easy to be all right with the call this morning.
