For a full season, 1999, the only Schafer season in which our defense finished lower than 5th in the conference.dbilmes

And nationally, top 5 in both.
4th (behind Penn State, St. Cloud, Minnesota State) in goals per game at 3.857; and 2nd in goals against per game at 1.786 (behind Clarkson).

Anybody got any video or audio on ESPN3 yet? I can't remember from year to year whether or not they include pregame stuff.
