No actually, in upstate NY we know how to manage snow, unlike some of those seaboard cities. I've said this before, but in 50+ years of CU home games, I've only missed 1 game due to weather, and that was before 4 wheel drive.

Pretty sure it would have to be a third. I'm not sure the member schools even have the option of moving their required home-and-homes to a neutral site.

I would not think either team would give up their home date. It would be very harsh for Cornell undergrads, and for Harvard that game basically finances the rest of their season. On the Harvard game thread for the third QF they estimated actual attendance at about 200.

ECAC schools have done this, most recently, I think, was the Ireland trip of Colgate and Brown in 2015. That was a Colgate home game.

I don't know if the Ivies have any rules.

Hopefully it's the weekend of 11/9. I'm in Ann Arbor 11/16 + 17, so I miss the Q/PU weekend. But if we're in the Upper Peninsula the weekend before, I'll drive out there and then spend the next week between the UP and A2.

Maybe UM will have home hockey games when I'm out there.

Nice to see some slightly more difficult non-conference games than this past season, but as a senior, class of '18, I can't help but think back to freshman year when we played Omaha and Denver at home. It would be nice to have at least one series a year with an NCAA-caliber team from another conference.

You can make multiple deposits to the same package! Feel free to make additional payments over the next few months, rather than making one final bulk payment by September 1!

Or, give us your money sooner than you need to give it.

Michigan State was 12-22-2 this year and #35 in Pairwise. Let's hope they are a stronger team next year. With that said.. not too strong... a pair of wins would REALLY help our common-opponent comparisons with Big-10 teams.

Common opponent copmparisons with the other Big-10 won't matter if we don't play the others, since with no Head-to-Head there'd only be two criteria, RPI and Common-opponent, and RPI governs if there are only those two.

I've wondered why we don't coordinate more with Colgate, perhaps to pull off something like SLU and Clarkson have:

E.g.:

2016–17 Wisconsin/Minnesota at SLU/Clarkson
2017–18 Clarkson at Minnesota; SLU at Wisconsin
2018–19 Wisconsin/Minnesota at SLU/Clarkson
2019–20 Clarkson at Wisconsin; SLU at Minnesota [assumed]

Instead of a two-game set vs. Michigan State, why not, with Colgate's help, pull in both Michigan and Michigan State?

Since the distance between Munn and Yost is about the same as between Lynah and "Class of '65," we wouldn't even need to make it as complex as the Clarkson/SLU/Wisconsin/Minnesota four-year set.

Finally catching up on my emails, and I note that the email (vs. the tweet) is specific about MSU opening the regular season, which presumably puts it the weekend before Yale/Brown.

While the 2018-19 complete season schedule has yet to be released, we can announce that Cornell will be hosting MICHIGAN STATE to start the regular season at Lynah Rink in a two-game weekend match-up!

Weirdly enough, it is. It's still considered a very cool college hockey experience to go to the North Country. Cheel sucked a lot of the life out of it, but it still persists.

Not a galloping shock that they would be more interested in reciprocal deals than other huge western hockey-factory schools, given that they're pretty damn isolated themselves.

Credit where credit is due, in the last decade, I seem to remember North Dakota visiting a good chunk of the ECAC schools.

Not a galloping shock that they would be more interested in reciprocal deals than other huge western hockey-factory schools, given that they're pretty damn isolated themselves.

Grand Forks is right on the Minnesota border. They're not any more isolated than any of the Minnesota schools.

If you say so. Being only a two-hour drive from Bemidji doesn't exactly scream "convenient" to me.

That's fine, but then you have to admit what being a three-hour drive from Schenectady/Troy looks like to them, which is one of our shorter road-trips. By the time Hawks fans are settling down for pre-game drinks in Duluth, Ithacans heading to the Harvard game are wondering where the next rest stop on the Mass Pike is.

Yes, real, Cornell vs. Harvard twice in a week. The MSG game is non-league, doesn't count toward the Ivy title.

Since I just wasted my time looking at all of the WCHA schedules to see if RPI is listed :-( , I can report that Cornell is at NMU on 11/9 and 11/10. Click the Northern Michigan link at [www.wcha.com].

Fun!

Think that means we'll be playing them in Tempe in 2019-20? I'd seriously consider making that trip.

I noted that the press release refers to ASU's "15th-ranked recruiting class"--I wonder who did the ranking that it refers to?

Thanks. So that leaves Jan 25 & 26, Colgate?

And ASU has a great schedule.

Yeah! If this were lacrosse, instead of hockey, ASU would be virtually assured of a national playoff spot due to SOS alone.

My daughter lives 10 miles from Tempe.

Party at her house. Time for some payback for 18 years of broken furniture!

My dad was stationed in Marquette in the Air Force during the "summer". When he left in September, it was snowing.

I've never been to the UP. I could be convinced if some of the NMU USCHOers are up for it.

Will it be a student section now? That could be good.

Will next season's non-travel partner ECAC schedule be posted on about 1/1 again?
