Hey, if you just edit your Subject line this can also be the game thread.

And sheesh with SLU being 1-10-1 I can see a Big Red letdown. Let us hope not

Very good first period, up 2-0 and outshooting them 21-5. First goal came on hard work by Bauld and Smith following an exceptional shift by Fiegl. Second goal was Yates winning the FO and feeding Barron who went in and potted it 8 seconds later -- very soft goal given up by SLU's goalie Brey who has otherwise been strong.

The Saints are double shifting two lines so that's probably going to start showing later. They also have a giant out there -- #27 who is 6-8 and that seems like an underestimate. Happily he is so far skating like StumbleBâby.

Did anyone catch the Donaldson injury? Did it look bad?

I didn’t see what may have happened. Hopefully it’s not a serious injury, as I love that kid’s game.

Apparently that's now official.

Anyone hate the idea of throwing hats tomorrow night when we throw the paper? It won't cause a cleanup problem, as the rink staff is out there picking up paper anyway.

Thoughts?

It's a nice thought. However, no.

But I also keep my peas and rice separate.

Morgan Barron is the first Cornell freshman to get a point in each of his first 7 games. The prior record was 4.

Donaldson was dumped behind the net and hit the ice and end boards.. he went to the bench and it looked to be a shoulder or neck issue, but he kept stretching it and not sure he even missed a shift. he played a bunch after that. did he get dinged again later?

that last penalty on mallot was just awful. the STL kid grabbed his shirt as he flew by him and he gets called for penalty?

thats 3 shutouts lost late , with with a pulled goalie and one with that 4x3 tonight.
