Thanks a bunch.
I never know if it's a home run, or a pop fly and out.

Just as an aside...I remember so many nights driving home when it was an effort to find the side of Route 89 because it was snowing so hard. The only tire tracks were the ones we were leaving. 20 mph, tops.
Should I feel guilty for not missing all that excitement??
I mean, I do feel bad about California; really I do.

Ithaca is significantly warmer than San Diego right now.

Just depends upon your point of view. Personally I've felt that watching was enough fun to commute to games from Rochester for 4 years, from Cooperstown for 3 years, and now from Syracuse for 40 years. Ups and downs with the teams and weather, but have always felt, in total, it was worth it. Relatively bad years, like some recent ones, have been more than compensated by surprisingly good ones, like this year. And there's always that hope, that somehow I could see another glory year, like I grew up with.

I agree.
I wouldn't trade all the enjoyment for anything. Same seats for almost 40 years.
Except maybe the night the roads iced over during the game and I ended up bouncing off the curbs going down the hill in order to slow the car. Ended up swinging around and going thru The Heights to catch Rt.#13 and a state plow. That was too exciting, even for me.

It filled up (mostly) eventually, but yeah, D & E looked pretty empty for a while.
And FWIW, only sections A & B seemed to be doing any cheering (now get off my lawn!)
