The first of many, I hope. Gillam is ECAC GOTW. It must have been the bear that was backstopping him in warm-ups that did it.

They concentrated too hard spelling "Ciampini" right then eased up on the school.

Actually it's easy to mistake Union College for College College. That's where Bluto went to school.

According to this article in CHN, Schafer should just play Gillam every game for the rest of the season and forget about giving Stewart an occasional spot start.

On the women's side, Brianne Jenner is the ECAC POTW and Erin O'Conner is the ECAC ROTW.

Most misleading and/or gratuitous bargraph ever.

1/13/15 Release
Rookie of the Week
Hayden Stewart, Cornell University
(Freshman, Goaltender - Rockford, Illinois)
Stewart recorded his second career shutout, making 36 saves to anchor the Big Red's 2-0 road victory at Clarkson Saturday. Nineteen of those stops came in the first period, with Stewart keeping the Big Red in the game until they scored the game-winner late in the second period. Stewart is the first Big Red freshman with at least two shutouts in a season since All-American David McKee had five shutouts during the 2003-04 campaign.

I don't understand. How can the system be considered a rookie?
And parenthetically, na, na, na na, nah at the two student announcers from Clarkson who repeatedly noted how uninspired and awkward Stewart appeared on Saturday.

To be fair, they were only doing that for the first 10 minutes, and later in the game they were quite complimentary.

That could be right. I stopped paying attention to them part way through the first. Even so, I like the idea of giving students a platform for developing their skills in this way.

Is the SPORTSMANSHIP TROPHY just fewest PIM in league games?
I can't really argue with any of that, although I'll bet the final RS weekend knocked Gillam out of at least 3rd team GOTY. Ryan breaks a 4-year period with no Cornellians on the first team; we continue our struggles at forward: 2 First Teamers in 28 seasons (2% of the 84 slots), as compared with 9 defensemen (16%) and 4 goalies (14%). An average team would have 1/12 = 8%.

Not one Cornellian among the all-rookie team.
When you score few points as Cornell does, Cornell ought to win the defensive forward of the year.
If Cornell won the sportsmanship award, it would be posted on the Schafer Must Go thread.
