My Bracket Predictions

Hi, Everyone, (hey Al !)

Finally back on the net with reliable equipment.

Marty saw something special at the Whale tonight!

Congratulations Cornell Big Red Hockey! (o.k., so I'm a day late :-))

nut

I'm not quite sure about this but did David N. break Dreyden's shutout record tonight with the 3-0 score?

My predictions for the ECAC playoffs:

Round #1:

Union loses to RPI in 3 games
Knights top Cats in 3 games
dirty Bears sweeps Tigers in 2
Colgate has little trouble with the Larries in 2.

Round #2: a.k.a "Does anybody REALLY want to play Cornell at Lynah?" :-)

Brown tops Yale in OT in game 3.
Knights upset Big Green in 3 (they've got their playoff game face on again)
Hahvaaaaard--SUCKS! sweeeps aside the Gate in 2 surprisingly high-scoring games.........
Need I state the obvious last? RPI becomes RIP as they are humbled mercilessly in two straight shutouts... fire Fridgen (cancelling his 3-yr ext/raise) and hurredly higher the deposed Mark Morris to rub it into Clarkson's eye.

Round #3: The Pepsi Arena in 'Ol Albany! A new venue and a new champion! :-)

Early game: Unfortunately Crimson deal the Knights out of the game
(It's heartbreak hotel in Potsdam again -- get used to it up there!)

In the Battle of the Bears in the Feature game - our boys are not to be denied! Brown tries to make it interesting, but David N. & the BIG RED prevails 5-1 !!!

The ECAC Finals------- It's a rematch of last year, but the Crimson "Just Can't Handle It" to quote Col (?) Jessup...........

BIG RED REIGNS..............5-2 (w/eng)!!!!!!

It's on to Worchester again!!!! :-)))))))

I'm Really enjoying this "dream" season,

---- Chief Bear

Hey Chief,

One of the best things I saw Saturday wasn't on the ice. Martin my (Frosh) son at Yale heard that his friend's little brother was scheduled to attend a rather adult play. Martin offered a seat in the pep band for the 16 year old to rescue him. In addition my daughter, also 16 played flute right next to Martin on the clarinet. Two ringers!! Yes they are in the video of the game including the national anthem.

So armed with my daughter's ticket I had fun giving it to John, one of Age's old buddies before he could buy one at the window.

Janice and I enjoyed the game from fourth row center ice seats. Norton on NESN called it well in the third period. It really did seem that the Red had worn down the Bulldogs just before the 2nd goal. Thank God!

I don't predict anything for the weekend, Chief. But if any joker throws an orange on the ice in Schenectady the Union team should string him or her up on the dusty rafters.

Hi, John,

See you at the Pepsi too! A Cornellian is in a prominent position there with Arena marketing.

Big-Ben, thanks for pointing out the "David N." mistake --- I must have been having a mid-life moment! ---- I meant David L., of course.

It looks like Colgate doesn't want to throw in the towel yet. Their 3-2 win tonight sets the stage tomorrow for the only 3rd game of the first round, among the has-beens. I still think that they will beat Larries. i am surprised at how close that one is, and how low scoring.

UVM finished off the knuaghts at Cheel. 4-1 is last i heard as the Onion game was winding down.

So now it looks like this:

CORNELL #1 hosts RIP #11
Harhhhvahh (sucks!)#2 hosts Vermont #9
Dart-the-Mouth #3 hosts________________ (who knows?)
No-Tale Yale#4 hosts those dirty Brown bears #5

Let's see some picks predicts, folks! :-)

I think Yale, then Dartmouth are the most likely upset candidates.
