When did this become a thing for tickets? I was just wondering if they were limiting sales and i clicked tickets and got some queue with 800 people ahead of me and a 30 min wait?

Think of it as eBarton, big queue, shorter wait.

4300-some seats one (the whole?) section for visitors, less season ticket-holders, less Big Red Sports supporters who get passes, less tickets available to season ticket holders, less other comps ... and even assuming many of the 800 want to buy two ... I could see that's in the realm of possible. Especially after learning how quickly Harvard tickets sold out, they might all line up right at 10.

Why doesn’t a third-party ticketing site (University Tickets) have the capacity to handle that many users at once? (Seems like a pretty light load in the world of event ticketing.) Did Cornell buy the bare-bones package?

the queue was 800.. and it took 45 min to get in.. i would think that would mean 10-20 at a time were doing anything.. and even that seems high considering there were not all that may free tickets to buy after the STH who already had theirs. in the end looks like buy on the townie side was about normal..

with the bad testing numbers still going around campus glad the school hasnt caved in yet with masks. gonna be lots of sick people in the building who dont even know most likely especially on the kids sides given the amount of positives they are getting now.
