Rick Carpiniello, who covers the Rangers for The Athletic, wrote a terrific feature on Morgan Barron. Although it’s a subscription site (and well worth the $ IMO), you may be able to access the article as a sample freebie.

From the NY Post this morning (1/30/2020):
NY Post 1/30/2020
Up-front, Morgan Barron is making a name for himself with his terrific Cornell team, as the 6-foot-3, 210-pound center could be a second coming of Brian Boyle.

I can't wait for him to develop into a great player, and be traded for a bag of pucks to Columbus. SMH the Rangers waste so much homegrown talent.

I see him at the NHL level as probably a third line forward who will chip in with some scoring and be a solid guy on the PK. I don't think he's NHL superstar material.

I agree. I see him being a solid contributor, given the chance (see: matt moulson) He has the Black and Blue Shirt ethos down, and I loved the Ranger team that went to the Cup Finals and sadly lost- and then they broke up the whole thing. It was a team of greater than the sum of its parts, much like the modern Big Red.
