I've always heard of how the Brown band has donned skates and skated while playing in the past, and I've seen a brief video clip showing them stepping out and falling flat on their instruments, but in my many trips to Meehan, I've never seen this happen. So I thought it was a tradition long lost in the folds of insurance policies.
Well, we'll have the opportunity to see it on Friday post-game. Have mercy on us all.

My sister, who went to Brown, said that one year a kid broke several ribs when he fell on his trombone.

Every time that there's been a Brown band there they've been on the ice. Even when it went into overtime a couple years back and they stood around in their little holding pen. They don't so much as skate, as troddle onto the ice very clumsily.
