I wonder if there's any option of a medical redshirt / graduate year, or if this marks the end of his hockey career?

Thanks for sharing. A shame about Bliss but at this point not surprising. In the Yates piece, interesting discussion about him coming directly from Deerfield to Cornell. I was surprised at the time that he didn't spend a year in juniors, but given the small senior class we now have, perhaps Schafer needed him that year.
Also in the hockeyjournal is an article about holiday tournament championships for The Gunnery and Kimball Union Academy. We have recruits on both teams, Kyle Penney, a junior forward for KUA (apparently entering Cornell in 2019-20) and Jimmy Rayhill, a sophomore defenseman for The Gunnery (slated for the 2020 entering class). The article states that Rayhill is a captain as a sophomore.
