I can take a stab at some:
#1 John Hughes
#2 Kevin Pettit maybe
#3 ??
#4 Harkness
#5 ??
#6 ??
#7 Dick Bertrand. Bertrand played for 4 years at Cornell but he had a birthday and was too old to compete in the championships.

I better not.

Some of us still work for a living and today is tax day. Sorry to be late to the party! However YES - all the names are correct. I believe Sol Goldberg from Cornell Communications took that particular photo.

Sorry, no bonus points can be awarded unless you can also correctly identify the make and model of camera used, the film speed, and the f-stop setting.Larry72

You guys are amazing, and that is what makes the forum worth coming back to daily, multiple times per day, even in the offseason!

That picture was very likely made with a Nikon F camera with a 28mm Nikkor lens (a favorite wide-angle lens of Sol's) shooting Kodak Tri-X film pushed to ASA 800. (ISO didn't become the standard method of determining film speed till sometime in the mid 1970s.) The on ice exposure after the game was about 125th second @ f4 or f5.6. The light in the 1932 Rink was nearly two f-stops worse than Lynah in 1970...pretty poor.
It's the mix of old and new stories and the excitement of each season that keeps us coming back!

You should've bet on me (though you would've lost) since I think I was the one who sent you the photo for your site a few years back (with identification of the players). Nice work by jerseygirl with the correct answers.Trotsky

Looks like '78 (or is it '77--my eyes aren't good enough to tell) must have been the year they were using the larger nets.
