The 26 finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award (the Women's version of the Hobey Baker) have been announced, and four Cornellians (none of them Seniors) were named to the list, just behind the five that Mercyhurst got. BU and Wisconsin each got three finalists.
Goaltenders Amanda Mazzotta (Jr.) and Lauren Slebodnick (Fr.) were both left off the list despite being ranked #1-2 (respectively) in both GAA and Save % nationally. They've split time evenly, each playing 14 games, which is probably the reason.

Anyone know the situation with Mazzotta's injury? Slebodnick's filled in admirably, but Amanda has NCAA experience and that could be a big plus in the tournaments.RichH
