According to this ( [sports.espn.go.com] ) article dated January 22, 2010, Cornell is in the running to land Kendall Coyne. Miss Coyne was the only high schooler in the running to make the U.S. Olymipic team. This would be a huge pick up.

It would be huge...but isn't she considered a Harvard lock?

That's what the early season rumor mill was saying, but more recent rink talk has her more open minded.
"Chicago Tribune" has a story on Kendall Coyne today. It sounds as though we're still in the running.

...
Coyne's days start when she gets up for school at 7 a.m. Lately, after a full day of classes, she stays to take an ACT prep class, which lasts until 5 p.m. Then she races home to Palos Heights, grabs dinner and heads to Seven Bridges, a 30- to 45-minute drive.
...
By all accounts, Coyne has risen to the challenge. Her mother, Ahlise Coyne, said she maintains almost all A's in her classes with the occasional B. Coyne could have graduated in December but opted to stay in school so she could take the college-prep classes necessary to get into Cornell and Harvard, the Ivy League schools that are recruiting her.

Ivy League schools do not offer athletic scholarships, so potential recruits must rely on their grades as much as their talents to play there.
