I though these were announced at the Frozen Four, along with the Hobey?

For Penrose I pick Parker, yes he had a lot of talent, but he had to requit them and get them to play together. They won everything they could win, and I'm upset that he hasn't been recognized for 30 years. You can like him or not, but he has done very well over the years and he stayed there when he could have bolted for the money. Yes, I know this is not a lifetime achievement award, but compare him to Taylor who won the ECAC award 3 times and his teams never won anything, and then they had the nerve to name it after him.

Agree, Jim. Parker said BU won seven championships and six tournaments this year. Pretty remarkable to get your team to play at that level so consistently.Jim Hyla

What 6 tournaments? They won the Denver Cup, Beanpot, Hockey East and NCAA titles. That's 4 by my count. Even if you want to count the regional and frozen four as two tournaments, that's still only 5. What am I missing?
Also, what 7 championships? Denver Cup, Beanpot, Hockey East RS, Hockey East Tourney, NCAA - that's 5 (6 if you count the regionals and Frozen Four separately).
Just trying to figure out what I'm missing here. No matter what the count, that's a fantastic season and he definitely deserves the Penrose in my opinion

Maybe they are counting the Ice Breaker Invitational which BU hosted in October. It wasn't really a "tournament" in that second day matchups were set before the event started. BU defeated North Dakota and Michigan State. UMass was the fourth team and they lost to Michigan State and beat North Dakota. Thus, BU was the only team to go 2-0.

They are counting the Icebreaker. That was mentioned as one of the tournies BU won during the telecast of the final.
