In case anyone cares. . . .

I care. Anyone but Harvard. Cornell has 11 tournament titles. Harvard has eight. They don't need to get any closer.

Princeton now with the "dreaded" two goal lead. Seems like a bad goal from Richter's perspective in that it went through the five hole and there wasn't much traffic in front.

On one of the replays it looked like the dman in front deflected it down. Still stuck through the five hole, but the tip didn't help him I'm sure.

Pelle just scored to make it a one goal game. 2-1 Princeton. Still over 19 minutes left.

Deja vu all over again?

Harvard takes a penalty with about 3:30 left in the game and Princeton scores on the ensueing PP.

3-1 Princetion 3:00 minutes left in the 3rd.

And the ENG. 4-1 Princeton. Also a camera shot of the Faithful serenading the empty net.

Cornell to the NCAAs in hoops. Princeton to the NCAAs in hockey. Times change.

Actually, Princeton had a fairly decent turnout tonight. They sat on their hands except when Princeton scored, but they were there. Can't say that for Sucks.

But the Faithful were easily the loudest of the bunch. No shock there.

I liked the final cheer from The Faithful: "Thank You Princeton"

I also liked the "It's All Your Fault" to Richter after the 3rd goal. When everyone stopped after the usual 3 or 4 repetitions, one intrepid Pep Band member in front of us kept on going all by himself. At first we just chuckled, then a few people joined in, and then we rose en masse and serenaded Richter for what must have been another 20-30 times. I hope Richter appreciated it as much as the Princeton fans did.
