Richter gives up his highest number all season, and the impotent Harvard offense realizes that their goalie won't win all the games for them :) RPI sounded like they were flying according to all accounts.

Come on, couldn't he have given up one more for Scrivens's GAA?

This must have been one of those screw-up-the-schedule games intended to allow Harvard to compete better in the Beanpot.

Yes, this is a game scheduled for the benefit of Harvard so that they will be better rested when they lose another beanie.

RPI looked fine tonight. They worked hard and the second Sucks goal was a bouncer off a faceoff. The new coach at ROI seems to be paying dividends. In the last 10 minutes the Engineers kept the pressure on Sucks. It was fun seeing Harvard's talent go to waste. A nice Tuesday evening.

Maybe they need a few good grinders and role players.crazy

If RPI plays as they did in the first two periods against Minnesota, they're tough.

I just got back from that game. I was vey impressed by RPI's breakout, they really get the puck up ice quickly. Once or twice the goaltender sent it directly to hangers on the opposite blue line. Other times they'd neatly tic-tac-toe the puck up. AND they have some guys up front who can finish. They had no trouble killing Harvard's man up. Crowd announced as 2600, but really didn't even seem like that many. Verrrry quiet too. But their team is gonna be trouble.

The Brownies got an 8-0 beating at Providence, while also being outshot 55-18. Rosen the wunderkind was pulled in the second period after giving up 5 goals.

Yeah, they had quite a few near misses with their home run passes. Even though none led to a goal directly off the pass, it was very effective and surprising that the timing was so on tonight. They worked the puck up ice better tonight than any night since they made Bentley look like a div 3 team in their home opener.

Wait, Bentley is in division 1? ;-)
