So I switched to YES to see the Big Red cagers. It was like 25-25 and then Penn goes on something like a 20-5 to knock Cornell back. Penn 40-30 at the half. Can you woof just by turning on a TV set?

It's probably parallel facts, not cause and effect, but as more Big Red players go down with injuries and illness, our defense stiffens and the offense kicks into overdrive again. Of course, one period does not a game make.

Not that Schafer is thinking of this, but if Davenport stays and plays a solid third period, he's got a chance to be on the ECAC honor roll. Plus it makes the other teams think we've found a goaltender and a defense.

This is getting ridiculous. When's the last time Cornell scored in the double digits?

Greg,

Penn by 3 with 7 min to go.

Penn 69-64 with 5:00 to play. I've gone from thinking "let's not get blown away" to "maybe we really could take Penn at their place."

I think its time to take davenport out.. he played well and has made the statement to be the starter again next week.. he already got run once no need to see it happen again..

agreed, good point.

the lack of calls has really hurt cornell at penn.. several questionable calls keep them from getting back in the game'

Not that Schafer is thinking of this, but if Davenport stays and plays a solid third period, he's got a chance to be on the ECAC honor roll. Plus it makes the other teams think we've found a goaltender and a defense.

As of now, he had more of a chance getting into the honor roll if he was pulled.

Any weak goals on Davenport? I can't tell with the Princeton announcer.

We nearly had the first father-son combo with hat tricks in Cornell history there.

Note: Score not indicative of the reality of the game.

Granted, I never felt like we "had" Penn, but it was by no means a 12 point trouncing.

Or, are we saving some for next week in Cambridge?? Bring on 'em Hahvahd weenies.

I read the Harvard thread at USCHO and someone there says that at least some members of the Harvard team want a trip to Lynah in the second round.

Nothing could be finer. It'd be nice to have 2 Ivies and 2 non in the ECAC FF but not as nice as getting to play Harvard twice more in Ithaca.
