#1 BC lost to Notre Dame (a team tied with Union in the votes receieved category in the current poll) 7-1 at home tonight. Yikes. The game featured 87 PIMs.

That will show them for complaining about us playing the ND fight song at them back in '03. Or maybe not...

In other news CCT lost at home to Lake State and the Q put up a ten spot on their canadian exhibition opponent.

I still hate Notre Dame.

Also, RPI beats Denver 2-1. Is RPI for real? Tied BU last week and beats Denver on the road. Very impressive start.

Looks like they just got owned on special teams to me. Clarkson goes 1-for-7 on the powerplay and LSSU goes 5-for-8. Maybe Murphy sucked, but he sucked equally for both sides.

I watched the first period of the game on the Clarkson webcast. Clarkson's PK was awful.

If Seth Appert has made RPI believe in themselves, then they are for real. The talent difference between the best and worst teams is not that great that they can't be for real.


Note that RPI had a 0-10 lifetime record vs. Denver prior to this game. Two of the losses were by the 1953-4 team that went on to win the NCAA championship.

Edit: Somehow, during the last few weeks, Appert has given Jordan Alford the confidence that he was lacking the last two years. Alford had great credentials prior to arriving in Troy and was recruited by many other schools including Cornell. He didn't show much his first two seasons but stood on his head vs. DU on Friday.

Brief and accurate description. If you put in lazy and apathetic, the analysis would have been more complete.

atleast 3 of the clarkson penalties left me, who never yells at the ref, yelling at the ref. but we did get owned on special teams...
