2 years ago there was Lynah Cam that broadcast video of Cornell hockey games. How was it done? We're looking at it for our local junior team.

Analog signal from camera converted to DV using a DV Bridge and radio for audio.
Audio & video went into a PowerBook which composited the feeds using Live Channel Pro, which then compressed and streamed to a Mac OS X Server server, which handled the streaming to the clients.
