Given the drift of comments on the USCHO Forum, a poll was in order: [board.uscho.com]

>>> [From a post on USCHO about Cornell playing in Mariucci] So the big rink is out as a CU Apologist excuse. The home crowd is out, too. At this point, motivation better come entirely from within. And there are a hearty few there -- enough to sound pretty **** loud in a nearly empty Mariucci last night.

Playing in Minnesota at Minnesota's own 200x100 rink - not just same state or same town as one of the other partcipants - is off the boards as an excuse. It's still there as a reason for a difference in the outcome, whether it's winning by a lesser margin or some other outcome. It's going to be a tougher hill to climb for Cornell. We started the season (just about) playing an away game at a Big Ten school that starts with M and now we're playing a late-season away game with a Big Ten school that starts with M. It could be we're Minnesota's equal and the home ice advantage is too much, it could be we're Minnesota's equal and the puck bounces our way, and it could well be we're the better team and we'll show it.

For other 15 teams, we have nicely removed (The) Ohio State University's home ice advantage for the Frozen Four. Thereby giving their goaltender more time, more offseason, to work on his C&W singing. Gad, he was bad.

They must have had some special love for OSU to show this kid rapping. Good god, that was terrible...

Cheers,
Kyle

That's what he was doing.

Our sound was off during his performance. We were concerned he was having a seizure.

which intermission did that take place? I think they may have cut it out of the rebroadcast at 12:30am (which didnt get going till well past 1 actually). There wasnt much break in between the periods, definately not a full intermission at least.

Yeah, the repeats cut out the intermission stuff. Can't say I noticed it live either though. I'm very thankful for that ;)
