I know this isnt precisely the most appropriate place to be asking this, but this is the best collection of minds in the CU community...
Anyways, Im out here in Boston and thinking about going to slope day this year (May 7 if I'm not mistaken). Has anything been announced about it (new draconian regulations, music acts, etc)?

Thanks
--Steve M

For what it's worth, Weezer doesn't have any upcoming tour dates listed on their official site. O.A.R. does, but nothing is listed for May 7 (they're in Norfolk, VA the night before, so draw your own conclusions as to whether they'd play an afternoon show in Ithaca the next day).

I wonder if we should be concerned that "Weezer and O.A.R." was posted by a null user...

I'm almost definite weezer isn't coming and almost positive Howie Day is, along with someone else, but I'm not sure who

I've heard from several people that O.A.R. is indeed coming. But you know how rumors can be...

(and this forum was the first place I heard about the Weezer thing...)

pollstar has no mention of Weezer, so its not likely they are playing.

I can tell you that Slope Day will be set up much the same way as it was last year. The slope will be fenced in, alcohol sold on the slope, and music. O.A.R. will be here, have heard nothing about Weezer. Slopefest will also be making a return, although not sure where it will be set up.

I also heard The Beatles are coming. With Lennon and Harrisson playing curtesy of voodoo curses.

So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show.

No, but you on Slope Day - now that was over the line. :-P

I have pictures.

No, there is nothing wrong with champagne for breakfast. Just keep it to two bottles or less per person. twitch I've gone soft - all I could manage was TWO Guinness before Noon on St. Patty's Day.

Hey, if it leads to me attracting Aerosmith, Urge Overkill, Rip Taylor, and Tia Carrere (schwing!) to Slope Day, sure, I'll put up with some weird, trippy dreams. :-D
