Boucher played with JMP for the Philadelphia Phantoms in the Flyers' system. Now LeNeveu's gonna be competing with him in the Coyotes'.

Poor Lenny. I wonder if he thinks any differently about his decision to go pro. Especially given that this year's team is still doing fairly well. I suppose hindsight is 20/20.

Actually, from the rumors a few months back about his contract, a rather rich Lenny

But honestly, I think he would be quite content with his situation. He's 20 years old, and an all-star in his first year of professional hockey, at the highest level below the NHL. He's putting up a 2.51 GAA and a .922 save percentage on a team that seems to have a Swiss cheese defense on many nights. He shouldn't worry about what goalies are ahead of him in the system. He has plenty of time, and he's getting great experience. If he keeps playing how he's playing and keeps improving, his time will come -- whether in Phoenix or elsewhere.

I don't see him having any regrets.

Plus, this Boucher streak might actually help him, simply because it gives the Phoenix people even more reason to trade Sean Burke. Then once he's gone, Lenny is probably #3 on the depth chart (assuming Bierk is still there...is he?) instead of #4. Remember, he started the season #5 but since then has outperformed Pelletier and has an all-star status to add to his resume. So I'd say it's a success so far since he seems to keep moving up. I doubt he regrets it because I'm sure he was well aware when he made the decision to go pro that it takes some time, especially for goaltenders, to move up to the NHL.

Hell, if IBM had offered me a signing bonus like his after my sophomore year, I'da jumped, too.

As a Flyers fan, and a Boucher fan, first let me say BOOOOOOSH!

That said, Burke is something of a fan fave in PHX, so I think I think Boosh's doing well will actually allow the Coyotes to trade him, not Burke.

Either way, I think it helps Lenny.
