I never thought I'd see the day. Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth and Harvard (sucks) are all in the INCH Top Twenty listing this week:

though Harvard seems poised to drop off the list soon

INCH may be ranking four Ivies in its top twenty (which, in my opinion, is meaningless because its INCH's own people doing the rankings, not coaches or a cross-section of college hockey media), but three out of the four comments are backhanded at best:
[Q]Piling up points in the ECAC with the same excitement as the national Scrabble tournament.[/Q]
I mean, really, what the hell is that supposed to mean?

backhanded? maybe. i just assumed some "writer" really wanted to drop a reference to the event (Scrabble finals were broadcast on ESPN a week ago).

It actually sounds more like a comment on playing style than a backhanded shot at the ECAC. But it also sounds more like a descripton of Brown than Cornell.

Cam Abbott's game winner against St. Lawrence was a backhanded shot.
The comment on INCH wasn't

Not this past weekend it didn't sound like Brown. 7 goals in two games for both sides sure sounds like our style, last weekends results notwithstanding.

That means defensive hockey is as boring as a game of scrabble. Hope this explanation is redundant and that you were only kidding.

Which is of course only true if you know no more about hockey than you do about Scrabbleâ„¢.

Specifically, it is only true if you know no more about Cornell hockey than Scrabble - guess who's #3 in the country in goals per game?
