I happen to live in Syracuse, and got to see the Time Warner broadcast for Clarkson vs. Cornell. I am wondering if Time Warner Cable in Ithaca picked it up.
I am also wondering if lobbying local cable companies to pick up CSTV is really the thing to do. Why not lobby the local cable companies and the local ECAC schools to work together and develop an ECAC / Time Warner Cable package?
If the Time Warner groups in Ithaca, Syracuse, North Country, Utica, and Capital District, along with all of the New York State ECAC schools could put something together, it seems like they could cover a fair number of games.
There was clearly advertising revenue from the North Country helping cover last nights broadcast. Seems like there would be a revenue stream in Ithaca for Cornell Hockey broadcasts, and decent revenue in the Capital District for RPI and Onion.

As I understand this, these are broadcasts that Clarkson is underwriting. How they share the revenues, I don't know.
