It's that time we have all been waiting for!!!!!! :-)

The FROZEN FOUR begins!!!!

My picks for this final showdown:

today:

The Big Red Bear takes a big bite out of the Cat and advances to the finals for the first time in decades!

#1 Cornell 4 - 2 over UNH !! nut Let's Go RED!!!!!!
In the evening contest, Michigan has a head of steam going after it's vitriolic upset of CC 10 days ago, and they keep on rollin to a meeting with our Big Red in the finals:

Michigan 3-2 over Minnie Gophers

And in the finale Sat. night.......... In this corner.... the #1 team in the nation with the #1 goalie and the #1 defense......

Cornell University Big Red !!! .......... and in the other corner, the upset hopefuls, wannabe Michigan....

The result of the titanic contest (both on the ice and amongst the fans in a cheering competition)..... no upset this time, the ECAC reigns....

CORNELL 3 :-)
Michigan 0

Cornell Lynah fans win the clever cheering competition in the stands!
ESPN announcers are awed!

David L. tops it off with a shutout and a new really biggggg banner gets to hang at our beloved Lynah!

The Chief Bear has spoken,..... now.... "Let the mayhem begin!" (noon)

LET's GO our beloved BIG REDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!! nut

Good Luck to our hockey team and Coach Schafer!

Hi, Tom,

We're on the PP. What is it, about 1 AM for you timewise? :-)

No Chief, it is more like lunch time. Though my stomach is in a knot, and I certainly mourn the loss...:`( But, still, got to eat lunch...

Tom,

I had mine just when the first period was going. Geez. What a tough loss. UNH seems to have the boogey-man on us in the playoffs. HUGE moentum swing when Palahicky's goal was disallowed....oh, what could have been. Late penalty hurt a lot, but we really threw the kitchen sink at em in the 3rd! ;-)

Our seniors did us proud! You never know what to expect in these final fours... Great experience for our club and I just know our squad will be super hungry for another shot next year and we'll be right in the fray, even without our great senior class..... after all, we have the #1 goalie!

I hope his GAA stayed low enough to set the all-time college hockey record.

Hobey!...Hobey!..Hobey!!!

Coach Schafer lived and died out ther today, you could see it all over his face. I really do not like the UNH coach. He looks a little too smug to me.

Now I hope the west winner wins the whole thing... because............UNH STILL SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yark

Tom, where are you? I thought I read you were overseas? that's why I asked about the time diff.

Jeeeeez,
It almost went the other way... yikes

I could have said 3-1 or, 4-1, or 2-0, but i admit I was getting bored with the low scores, so I thought, 'what the hell' I would go for 4, and maybe the RED would score 3.

Chief:
I was traveling in Asia in March, then in Venice and Florence last week with my wife on vacation. I am back in CA now. As you may know, I have been working at Stanford University since 1998. So, back to West Coast time, three hours behind EDT. B-]

What a lame post - not only were the small red in an awful conference, the only time they played a top 5 team they lost!

They were highly overrated, cockey, and low on talent.

Better luck next century!

"cpinternet.com" is an ISP from Minnesota, BTW.

Why you can't just enjoy your championship? Overrated, low-talent teams don't make the Frozen Four. I would've loved to have seen a CU-Gopher matchup.

Well, "lame" is certainly an appropriate handle for this poster.

snore

Edit: not that it really warrants a response, but I'm wondering what this joker's definition of "top five" is. Presumably, he or she is going by some poll in which Ferris State is #5 or Michigan is #4. By any objective measure I can find, #5 was either BC (which would make us 1-1 against the other four members of the top five) or BU (which would make us 2-1).

Perhaps "lame" would like to be subscribed to every pronographic site known to men? :-D Too bad he/she did not go to Hahvahd (or maybe he/she did)...

Somehow I'm thinking lame@cornell.com is not this person's real email address. :-}

Actually, I have some impression that the last time I checked, [cornell.com] was actually a bestiality porn site.

Admit it. You clicked through also. Or were about to. It turns out that Cornell Communications provides "low voltage signaling systems," and has been doing so for 25 years.

[q]low voltage signaling systems[/q]

An apt description of porn, IMHO. (no appropriate smiley, thankfully)
