ok. i know polls mean almost nothing in the grand scheme of things (except for maybe recruiting) but that didn't stop me from doing the very same chant and dance that i've found myself doing from time to time in the past few days, "we're number oooone! We're number oooone!" yeah. i'm a dork.

No worries, Melissa. Greg was praying to the hockey gods, not taunting them.

no...I think she's smacking him for agreeing that she's a dork...
though I do hope to also see it happen...
not necessarily the melissa smacks greg part, but for them both to be in the same place (and me, and you, and the rest of y'alls) in 2.5 weeks....

Hey - Whelan and I are about the only true "y'alls" around these parts. Perhaps Russ, if you count Virginia as the South....

I don't know where you are from, Robb, but I don't think that someone from upstate NY that gets a job in New Orleans is a southerner. Sorry, John. Strict geography aside, Louisiana is so unique, I don't even know if it counts as "the South." (Sort of like Florida doesn't count as "the South" -with the exception of the panhandle.)

Why are teams like Dartmouth that are done with even getting votes at all?

I'm damn sure not a Southerner. :-P

Perhaps because the pollsters feel Dartmouth is really the #15 team rather than Mercyhurst/Wayne State?
