Does anyone know how long it typically takes Yahoo to archive the game broadcasts? I can probably only catch period 1 live tomorrow and am wondering if I can possibly catch the end on Saturday before the Vermont game. I know the archiving takes a while but I'm wondering if anyone has noticed how long?
Worst case I'll just read the summary here and at USCHo after the game, no big deal. But it would be nice...

Hey, Keith! A little bird just told me that, in theory, all of the games are archived right after each broadcast and should be available a few hours after the game ends. That's around when the links automagically appear on the cornellbigred.com site.

So, you ought to be able to listen to the Dartmouth game online on Saturday before tuning in for Vermont.

Or, bag your conflicting plans and listen to the WHOLE game from Hanover on Friday night. ;-)

If you have an Internet connection that can stay open during the game you can record it to your hard drive. I do this often with a program called Total Recorder which is available from High Criteria software. And just in case you do splurge and buy the program here is a hint. In its newest version to record from Yahoo you must open the recorder and hit the record button before you open any Internet Explorer windows. The recording begins once audio is present from the Yahoo broadcast.

If the options in the recorder are set correctly the recording stops automatically when the broadcast is over.

Using this method I can hear the games as soon as I return home. Last year I was able to start the broadcast with a script and scheduler as if I were recording in a method similar to using a VCR. With the Yahoo setup this year I have to be home to start the broadcast because I haven't figured out a way to begin the broadcast unattended.

Well, I tried to start the archived broadcast when I got home last night at 11pm PST and heard "this game is still being archived. Come back later [blah blah blah]". It's Saturday morning now and it's still unavailable. So it doesn't seem like you can listen to an archived Friday game before the Saturday game. I suppose I could look into Total Recorder, but it's not nearly as useful if you have to be there to start it... BTW Marty, ho wbig are the audio files? (My old computer has somewhat limited HD space...)

Last night's game archive is finally up and running.
