That brings back some memories. In '68 I was in Boston and couldn't get to the championships. No internet or radio in Beantown then so we called a friend in Ithaca. He put the phone by the radio and we wired our phone to our stereo and listened. Don't remember what our phone charges were. Unfortunately not a win.lhayes

Skille is amazing. Still the best game I've ever seen even though I am really, really depressed. Finally got some chances and Elliott showed why he is a Hobey Baker candidate (and McKee showed last year's Hobeyesque form). The better team won, but the second best team on the ice showed that they deserve to be considered among the best in the country.
Congratulations Badgers. Go win it all.

I had a bad vibe when they went 4 x 4, and it sure didn't take long. But what a spectacular effort. We sure had some good chances in the 3rd OT, but just like last year it wasn't to be.

Anyone else extremely pissed at the matching minors call? From what I saw, a guy was pushing Mugford after the whistle, and Mugford wasn't retaliating.
I know the refs wanted to get the game under control without screwing over either side, but that wasn't the way to do it.
We played one hell of a game, though. So did they.

Given our offensive difficulties all year, I guess it was going to end like this. From USCHO, it seems like Elliott's save on Moulson was amazing. I remember Moulson had a good chance against Minny last year in OT, also to no avail.
As Trotsky posted on USCHO, Wisco announcers were pros, unlike the Minny yahoos last year. At least made it tolerable to listen to, despite the sad outcome.
One CU poster on USCHO is complaining about having to play in Wisco after having to play in Minny last year, etc. While I understand the frustration, it does little good to bring that point up, and frankly it diminishes the team's great performance. You play where you play, and I don't think the setting this year had any real effect on the outcome.
