Going cold turkey on eLynah: Mission Impossible?

For Cornell, the season is over. It's not coming back. There's six more months until any meaningful Cornell hockey is played. The smart thing to do would be to remove eLynah as the home page, remove it from the favorites list, and get on with life, in the process gaining five hours a week of productivity.

But it's hard going cold turkey. Anybody else having trouble winding down?

Who needs to wind down? Sure, things slow down here during the summer, significantly, but we have lax season and we can almost always find something to talk about.

Right. Here's hoping for the lacrosse team kicks in its afterburners starting with the thorough trouncing of Yale. We shouldn't have lost to Army and we could have beaten NC with a few lucky bounces of the pu-- oops, wrong sport. Somehow it feels as if last year was the almost year for the lacrosse team and this year may wind up being almost the almost year. May we be proved wrong.

I have this dream that Matt Moulson takes a bunch of summer school courses this summer, and then after he skates the NCAA trophy around Milwaukee's Schlitz Memorial Arena, his lightened senior season courseload lets him make a more-than-cameo appearance on the lacrosse field.

Say, could Travis Lee take faceoffs this spring?

But who would want to be more productive at work (or in my case, lab)?

Good point. There's recent research that says a psychologist is just about as good as a psychriatrist at helping a lot of people working through their depression and other problems, and by the way a social work is almost as good as a psychologist, and even a good support group is helpful. Plus, with eLynah there's no $25 copay. Well, actually there is a one-timer since I promised to kick in for the pep band's trip and they deserve the money win or tie. Sorry, lose.

There's an old saying: "The band always wins." And they definitely won last weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped make their presence happen, and for the bandies' dedication. You sounded wonderful.

After weeks of very busy traffic on this forum there are suddenly only two posts in three hours. I guess it is enforced cold turkey. What the hell am I supposed to do now, work?

Some of us are hoping for an incredible run by the lacrosse team although that's going to call for a superhuman second half surge. Maybe eLynah could expand to be the resource for all of Canada's national sports. (Not to start a discussion on whether lacrosse was or is the only official sport.)
