UHN vs Harvard game thread

Currently 1-0 Harvard...Harvard should be up 2-0 but they missed a great 2 on 1...Harvard on the PP after UHN took the Harvard man down on the breakaway

Harvard putting the pressure on UNH during the PP w/ a few decent chances. PP over w/ 1 minute to go in first.

Yahoo sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaah) is updating scores pretty quickly and consolidates free audio feeds for the games.

DirecTV has multiple channels of the Minnesota-Maine game but I didnt' see the Harvard-UNH game. Anyone have a channel that works?

First period over w/ ::GULP:: Harvard controlling a very decent amount of play and taking the 1-0 lead into the second period. Harvard had some very good chances in their last power play and just after it was over making UNH scramble quite a bit.

Anyone know the shots on goal?

UNH dragged down on a far side hook in HVD zone. UNH goes on PP 1:40 in.

UNH with some good chances including a shot from point that hits Harvard defender on far side of goal, flies behind hyphen across the goal and manages to miss.

Murphy taken down for no apparent reason away from puck in offensive zone. Harvard on pp 4:20 in.

PP over w/ Welch having a one time rip from the blue line that got stoped at the goal. a little over 13 to go.

UNH goes back on offense with Welch setting the example by bringing down a guy in front of the goal. Melrose feels it was exaggerated.

GOAL UNH 1-1

Collins left alone in the slot puts it over sieve hyphen.

GOAL HARVARD right back off the draw 2-1

UHN with the PPG, tied at 1.

Harvard gets it right back, now 2-1.

Shot from point gives up a rebound and gets buired in the net. Harvard takes the lead back right away.

Harvard up 2-1.

A little later big Harvard rip from the high slot heading for the upper corner that got snagged by the glove.

Hafner get's a little too excited and hits a guy w/ his stick. 2 minutes w/ under 10 to go. PP UNH.

PP over w/ a few UNH chances including a wide open high slot shot by Collins that went over sieve-sieve's head. About 5 to go in the second.

UNH putting a barage on the Harvard goal with 3 saves in a row from point blank. Pretty nice when they hit the puck right at you.

That's more than a few "gentleman's A minuses and B pluses".

UNH PP w/ 4 to go in 2nd. Another penalty on Harvard now and it will be a 2man advantage for 1:08 w/ 3:35 left in the second.

One man out of the box for Harvard with:50 to go in pp. Hyphen w/ a nice save from close.

PP over. 1:20 to go in second.

Hooking penalty on UNH w/ 40sec left in second. Harvard PP.

Harvard takes a 2-1 lead into the third and 1:20 of PP.

Harvard PP over w/ an ending chance to score and a shot off the outside of the post. Goalie stops 2 point blank shots and starts a player going the other way who draws a hooking penalty on Harvard. UNH PP coming up w/ just under 2 minutes gone in the 3rd.

Harvard looks much more impressive on their PK against UNH despite giving up a PP goal in the second period.

GOAL UNH 2-2 On the PP w/ 5 sec left shove the puck threw hyphens legs. Wish I could withdraw my previous statement.

Big one time blast by UNH from blue line that goes wide and allows Harvard to start an attack w/ a shot from point that went wide. 3:45 to go.

Two HVD players WHIFF in the slot (including Welch) and then a third misses a great chance from there as well in the same sequence. 2:11 to go.

Wow. Great action w/ less than 2 to go. Harvard misses a great chance and then UNH right back on the attack misses a near breakaway. Now UNH putting on heavy pressure w/ 1 to go.

Hyphen pulled w/ 2 sec to go. Faceoff deep in NH zone.

Hyphen came up w/ 2 big saves in the end. Refs discussing something right now w/ scorers - maybe want to add more time. Melrose: "Crimson lucky to come away with OT" regarding UNH's last offensive rush.

1.7 sec faceoff barely get off a shot.
