The West regional is the only one seen as contested; we're picked by as many of the prognosticators as is Minn and Maine has the most picks. Adam apparently is trying the anti-woof tactic by picking Maine.

I love how every single one of them picked BC to go to the final and lose.

No one picks Harvard to advance. Not that this will make Schafer sleep better, but only one prognisticator sees Ohio State advancing past the first game.

Bill, I'm not sure you're looking at the same thing I am; I don't see anyone picking Ohio St.

I think one guy picked them. Of course a couple of the people on there, Darren Pang being one of them, probably haven't seen a college hockey game all season.

I wouldn't be surprised if he at least had some idea of what was going on in the college hockey world.

One of the links to the experts' boxes didn't open so I don't know about him/her/its picks. But for the others if you click on Full Bracket that's the expert's picks not the empty refrigerator bracket.
Maine?

I guess these pros haven't seen Maine play this year. Longest winning streak is 3 games, done twice, stopped the first time by Dartmouth. They're .500 away from the Alfond and only one of their 6 away wins was against an NCAA team (UNH). Only 3 of the away wins were against teams with a .500 record (including UML, who they owned this year for some reason).
Also interesting how much respect MI gets. 6 of 7 predict MI to advance over CC. MI lost handily to both MN and WI, their first round opponent.

Wodon has Maine losing to BC in Columbus and he's got a pretty good clue. That team's funky come NCAA time. I think regardless of how their regular season is going, most teams fear them in the playoffs, kinda like Cornell.

Howard got them to the finals last year (although not until after giving up 4 goals and getting pulled against Sucks).

Cornell sure didn't have much trouble with Howard.

Jimmy Howard was out of shape most of the season. He had mono before the season started and was told by doctors he couldn't work out. He's a big kid with weight issues before, but he works out religiously to stay in top shape. When he couldn't, because of mono, he was not in good shape. He was given the clearance to train about 5 weeks ago or so.
He also hurt his shoulder, I believe, at one point, which is now healed.
