Hopefully the committee does the right thing and we end up east, I fully believe Cornell based on their play deserves a number 1 seed or at every least not playing a team at their home rink for the first round. Hopefully the committee sees it this way and we end up playing BU in Worcester

Cornell does not deserve a #1 seed. We trail four teams in the NCAA's selection criteria.

Actually we trail three teams and are tied with the fourth. They win on comparisons - we win on RPI. If it weren't for those stupid "double secret mystery points."

And I'd have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids! :-P

so, how does the committee adjust the "double secret mystery points" so that minnesota isn't a #1 seed? a #1 seed with 14 overall losses, over 25% of their games (they played 41 games).... that just is ugly. I just have a hard time believing that the computer algorithms allow this to happen, and i could accept being a #2 seed if minnesota wasn't a #1.
anxiously awaiting the committee's final report.......

For Minnesota not to be a number 1 seed, neutral ice wins will have to be .025 greater than away ice wins. That will flip the DU comparison for us, but then we will be a number 3 seed, which will screw up the bracketing again since the committee will most likely want us to go to Minny since we are techinally a number 2 seed. It will be interesting what turns out for Cornell. I can see them as either a number 1 or 2 seed and in either Minnesota or Worcester most likely. The only place I do not see Cornell ending up is GR, so do not book your tickets to there.
